Best AI interior design apps for iPhone in 2026: an honest comparison
We searched the US App Store for “ai interior design” on 5 November 2026 and read the top listings: what each app does, how it charges, and where room redesign (the app we make) is better and worse.

There is no single best app. AI photo restylers such as Home AI and DecAI are quick for seeing a style on your room, 3D planners such as Planner 5D are better for measured layouts, and Redecor is a decorating game. If you want to buy the pieces you see, choose an app that links real products from stores in your country: that is what room redesign, the app we make, is built for.
We make room redesign, so read this with that in mind. To keep it fair we used only what anyone can check: on 5 November 2026 we searched the US App Store for “ai interior design”, read the listings of the three most-rated apps in the top results, and added Planner 5D as an example of a 3D planner. Rating counts are the ones the store showed that day; what each app does and charges comes from its own listing.
Three kinds of app show up

The top results, from their own listings
- Home AI – AI Interior Design (160,758 ratings): upload a photo, choose a style, and see interiors, exteriors and gardens restyled. Its listing describes auto-renewing weekly, monthly and yearly subscriptions.
- AI Home Design: Interior DecAI (34,633 ratings): take or upload a photo, choose a style or chat with its design agent. Its listing offers weekly, monthly, yearly and lifetime plans.
- Planner 5D: AI Home Design (42,552 ratings): 2D and 3D floor plans, a catalogue of more than 8,400 furniture and decor items, and AI images of the plan. Its listing gives premium at $9.99 a month or $59.99 a year.
- Redecor – Home Design Game (271,499 ratings): a decorating game with virtual items you can buy inside it. Lovely for ideas; it does not design your own room.
Where room redesign is different
Most AI apps stop at the picture. room redesign starts from the shopping: for each design it decides which pieces the room needs, searches stores in your country for each one, checks every product photo, and only then draws your room with those products in it. Tap any piece and the store opens. It charges with one-off credit packs instead of a subscription, and one credit is one design.
Where it is weaker
- It is new: it went live on 3 November 2026 and had no ratings yet when we checked.
- It is an iPhone app, plus the studio on this website. There is no Android app.
- It does not draw floor plans or 3D models, and it does not do exteriors or gardens: home and office interiors only.
- The room image is AI-made, so sizes in the picture are approximate. Always check a product's dimensions on the store page.
